Dr. Zamora is the Director of Pharmacy at the Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a safety net clinic specializing in hematology. He oversees the operations of the CIBD specialty pharmacy and wholesaler, and serves on the Board of Directors at The Alliance Pharmacy in Westbury, New York. In addition, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University, School of Pharmacy and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Chapman University, School of Pharmacy. Prior to working at CIBD, Dr. Zamora was employed at MemorialCare Health System and Sharp HealthCare where he worked in a variety of settings that include home infusion, inpatient, and oncology infusion. Dr. Zamora received his bachelor degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Diego State University and his doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy. He is also a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist and Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
With over 20 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy practice as a registered pharmacy technician, Ms. Almario’s responsibilities at CIBD include providing financial, administrative, and technical services to the clinic, pharmacy, and center. Before transitioning to CIBD in 2011, she served as the 340B Pharmacy Program Coordinator for CHOC’s At-Home Program where she ensured a diligent working relationship between doctors and the program.
Lori GillespiePharmacy Program Coordinator
Ms Gillespie has over 25 years of experience in the Pharmacy setting including Inpatient, Outpatient and manufacturing of pharmacological products. Ms. Gillespie came from CHOC’s Children Hospital where she was the Technician Supervisor for 8 years. Her responsibilities as the Pharmacy Program Coordinator, include assuring appropriate safeguards and system integrity, performing annual inventory and monthly or other interval cycle counts and assuring compliance with 340B program requirements of qualified patients, drugs, providers, vendors, payers, and locations.
Tanya Melendrez, CPhTCustomer Service Representative
Mrs. Melendrez works closely with CIBD’s patients and families. Her responsibilities include coordinating their needs with the factor program, such as acquiring factor authorizations with our billing department , and coordinating delivery of medication and ancillaries. She also prepares and packages orders for our patients. Tanya brings five years pharmacy retail experience to the team.
