MLOF is a study that helps people with hemophilia and their families understand the unique aspects of their bleeding disorders by offering free genetic testing, also known as Genotyping. The process is a simple blood test.
My Life, Our Future is a nationwide campaign for progress in hemophilia. This study was created in hopes that patients and families gain a deeper understanding of hemophilia, while helping to advance the breakthrough treatments of tomorrow.
FREE genetic testing to female blood-related family members who may be potential carriers. Carrier testing will only be available until December 31st 2017.
CDC Community Counts Registry:
The Center for Disease Control runs this registry which is aimed at increasing knowledge of inhibitors and other complications of bleeding disorders and reduce or prevent them from happening to ultimately improve the quality of life of people with bleeding disorders. It consists of a 5-10 minute questionnaire along with a simple blood test. Blood is tested for Hepatitis C, HIV and inhibitor level.
