A Simpler Way to Manage Your Care
We’re excited to announce that CIBD will transition to a new electronic health record system called EPIC, and a new secure patient portal called MyChart on August 25th, 2026.
MyChart will provide patients and families with a more convenient way to access health information, communicate with their care team, and manage their care from a computer, tablet, or phone.
As we prepare for this transition, we want to ensure our patients feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. This page will serve as your central resource for updates, important information, and frequently asked questions leading up to launch.
What is MyChart?
MyChart is a secure online patient portal that gives you access to your healthcare information in one convenient place.
With MyChart, you can:
- Communicate securely with your care team
- View upcoming appointments and appointment details
- Request prescription refills
- Access test results and visit summaries
- Review portions of your medical record
- Complete forms and questionnaires electronically
- Manage your healthcare information anytime, anywhere
Whether you’re at home, at work, or on the go, MyChart makes it easier to stay connected to your care at all times.
Why Is CIBD Transitioning to MyChart?
We’re always looking for ways to improve the patient experience and provide the highest quality care possible.
Moving to MyChart will help us:
- Improve communication between patients and care teams
- Streamline administrative processes
- Provide easier access to health information
- Support a more connected and coordinated healthcare experience
- Offer modern digital tools that make managing care more convenient
This transition is part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care while making it easier for patients and families to access the information they need.
What Does This Mean for Patients?
For most patients, the biggest change will be how you access your health information and communicate electronically with our team.
Beginning August 25, 2026, MyChart will become CIBD’s primary patient portal.
Patients will be able to use MyChart to access many of the tools and resources previously available through other systems, while benefiting from an improved and more user-friendly experience.
What Will Stay the Same?
Our goal is to enhance your experience… not to change the relationships and medical care you already trust.
While the new portal will look different, you will still receive care from the same providers and care teams, you’ll still visit the same clinic location, and you will experience the same commitment to compassionate, comprehensive care.
What Do Patients Need to Do?
At this time, no action is required. Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll share additional information about signing up for MyChart and activating your account. Our staff will also be available to answer questions and assist patients throughout the transition process.
What to Expect During the Transition
Transitioning to a new electronic health record and patient portal is a significant change, and we appreciate your patience as we work through this process together.
Please understand that there may be occasional delays, adjustments to workflows, or minor issues as our staff and patients become familiar with the new system. We are committed to making this change as smooth as possible and will continue working to improve the experience along the way.
As you begin using MyChart, we encourage you to review your personal information and let us know if you notice anything that needs to be updated. Keeping your records accurate helps us provide the best possible care and communication.
